What is measured

Page visits, story progress and replays, lab interactions, links clicked, and broad categories of loading or graphics failures. Device size, browser family and referral category help identify compatibility problems and how people find the site.

A random identifier connects activity during a visit. It stays in memory, is not saved in cookies or browser storage, and expires after 30 minutes without interaction. Reloading or opening another tab starts a separate visit.

What stays out

No session recordings, fingerprinting, personal profiles, entered answers, PINs, page text, precise location, or raw error messages. Analytics does not receive your IP address, full browser identifier, full referring address, or page query strings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Turning analytics off clears pending events and stops further collection. Only that preference is saved on this browser; if storage is blocked, the choice lasts for the current page session.

Services and retention

Analytics uses PostHog in the EU. Its free plan guarantees one year of event retention; it does not promise deletion exactly at the end of that year. These events describe visits, not identified people.

Vercel hosts the website and necessarily processes network requests, including IP addresses, for delivery and security. UptimeRobot checks the public pages for downtime. Neither service is used here to record your interactions.

Lab progress and sound preferences are separate functional settings. They continue to work when analytics is off.
